Security

We are very aware of the need for the security of all cyclists, consider this information:

One fourth of the cyclists in Chupacabras are from Juárez and in 11 years there has NOT been a SINGLE incident of violence, specifically with firearms, during their training.

The Organization is an Association which promotes sports, health, living healthy, social and family interaction.

We trust and work with the departments of Public Safety, CIPOL, Municipal Police, Federal Police and other law enforcement and civil protection agencies to perform the best work possible and provide the best security.

For Chupacabras 100kms cyclist safety is of highest importance and this year we will have:

• -500 volunteers with 4 years experience in race safety
• -170 vehicles, most 4x4 or all terrain, for emergency transportation.
• -4 mobile ambulances located in critical areas.
• -Support from Municipal Police, Fire & Rescue, Cipol, Mounted Police and a helicopter.

All of the above distributed proportionally along the points and areas considered of risk.

• -A group to travel the entire track behind the last racers, make sure nobody is left behind.
• -Support of boy scouts in the most critical area.
• -Volunteers of the universities UACH, UACJ, ITCJ CBTIS.
• -7 consecutive years of same security group.
• -Additionally, 70% of volunteers speak english.

-We also have the great statistic of not a single case of violence, assault or robbery against a cyclist, and no bicycle has ever been lost.
