The program began in Sydney, Australia in 1993. Now in its 15th year, Clean Up the World, held in conjunction with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), mobilizes, during one weekend in Spetmber, over 35 million volunteers from more than 120 countries annually making it one of the largest community-based environmental campaigns in the world. From September 22 to 29 CHUPACABRAS100kms, as well as other organizations from Juárez and El Paso, will join the event Clean Up the World.
