No registry or handing of racing packages on the day of the event ( Saturday October 13)

 

For all racers under 16 years of age.
Register and payment: October 12 and 13 (Friday and Saturday) 2007.

CHUPACABRAS100kms RULES[ top ]

  1. In order to participate and remain in the event ALL riders MUST:
    • Wear helmet and gloves at all times.
    • Wear racing number visible at all times.
    • Ride on the RIGHT SIDE of the track.
    • Give preference to returning cyclists.
    • Yield (give way) to cyclists that request it
    • Male runners must behave when interacting with female runners.
    • Foul language not allowed.
    • Be respectful and courteous with all riders, public, rescue team and staff.
    • Littering is prohibited.
    • Help from support vehicles is allowed, but will be disqualified if you ride in them
    • Pick up your prize after clearance from finishing line judges.
    • Start of race will be sorted by categories with a 30 second lapse between them. You must be formed in the category you registered in order to race.
  2. Categories:
    • Elite: Pros and Olympic ranked racers, national and state champions, 100 top finishers from the 2006 Chupacabras edition.
    • Experts: Experts, advanced and master 30, 40, or 50, 101 to 200 place finishers from the 2006 Chupacabras edition.
    • Advanced: 201 to 300 place finishers from the 2006 Chupacabras edition.
    • Sport 1: 301 to 500 place finishers from the 2006 Chupacabras edition.
    • Sport 2: 501 and later place finishers from the 2006 Chupacabras edition.
    • Beginners: First time Chupacabras racers AND less tan one year continuous cycling experience.

CHECK – POINT RULES [ top ]

  • Have your racing number visible at all times.
  • You must finish the race with your number. If it falls, pick it up and save it.
  • You must go through ALL check points and pick up a check pass.
  • If you miss a check pass or loose your racing number you will not get a prize
  • You need to have the previous check passes to get the next check pass.
  • Shortcuts are forbidden. Follow all instructions and track rules and enjoy the race. Remember: No pain no gain.
